Current Board Member Vacancies
We are looking for up to 4 new Trustees to join our friendly team and to help make One Can Trust even better.
Trustees have overall control of a charity and make sure that the charity does what it aims to do. We help to make sure that the charity makes good decisions, uses its resources effectively, is well-run, manages its finances properly and deals with risks. We also have to make sure that the charity is run in accordance with charity law and other relevant legislation.
We are looking for trustees with experience in one of these areas:
Secretary
Human Resources (HR)
Debt/benefits advice
Business/commercial
As a trustee, you would need to come to the Board meetings, which are held in person once every 2 months on a Tuesday at 6.30pm, either at Duke Street, High Wycombe or Micklefield Road, High Wycombe. Sometimes you might be asked to represent One Can Trust at events or when meeting partner organisations or funders.
Although the role of a trustee is unpaid, reasonable expenses can be reimbursed, including travel costs.
There is no requirement to have held a trustee position before. Support and/or training will be provided, alongside an induction programme. The most important thing we want to see is a commitment to the charity’s aims and enthusiasm for making a difference.
